Full Moon

Don’t know if anyone noticed the full moon/good offshore fishing correlation this cycle but the text book example during the last four days speaks for itself. We went from zero sign of tuna a few days back to an ocean brimming full of fish beginning exactly four days before the full through present. Imagine that. I’m not saying that it’s guaranteed to happen this way every time, it doesn’t, but the frequency with which this moon phase does coincide with a positive change offshore is significant. June, July, and now August this year have been dead on; this month being the best by far as what we are seeing is on the bite for real.

Good fishing spread over a vast distance was the setting today. Abundant mixed schools of 15 - 25 pound yellowfin and 20 - 50 pound bluefin provided plenty of action fleet wide. And by all indications there is plenty more to come.  Photo today features first time Royal Star angler Tanner Rogers all smiles with his first 20 pound class yellowfin of the morning.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
