Jess Ranch Lakes Staff

Trout bite was very good on lake 3 and good on lake 2 with anglers using power bait ( especially spring green, rainbow and chartreuse) night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. As always, the bite depended on the warm-up and wind--typical for this time of year, but overall it was a good week. Most trout caught were near or over 2 pounds with many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern logged shore and the north shore near the pump as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Bass are biting senkos on the eastern and northern shores of lake with anglers reporting good action on the eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall. Catfish are hitting mackerel and shrimp on the eastern shore of lake 2.
