Kevin Osborne docked Intrepid at Fisherman's Landing September 21 after an excellent Fisherman's Warehouse trip of eight days with 21 anglers.
"We fished at Alijos Rocks for three days," said Kevin, "and it was very good. We fished offshore in blue water, and we fished at Guadalupe for one day and got our best tuna there where the tuna and porpoise were feeding on small mackerel."
Lew Hurlbutt of Tehachapi won first place for his 92-pound yellowfin. He said he got it with a sardine on a 3/0 ringed Mutu hook and 50-pound Izorline. Lew used a Penn 4/0 reel and a Calstar 710 rod and decked his fish in 20 minutes.
George Nelson of Malibu won second place for an 86-pound tuna, and Ralph Tisher of Pt. Townsend, WA took third place for an 84-pound yellowfin tuna.
