There has been good counts of yellowtail/seabass/rockfish at the islands right now, definitely a good time to go out. 3/4 and full day trips available all month long. Overnight trips also available departing nightly.

Bait size has been a size 1/0-2/0 hook for the sardine, and squid (when available) 5/0 aki twist. Fish at the islands have also been biting the yoyo/surface iron real well. For the rock fish you want to use 8oz-10oz for the local stuff, 10oz-16oz to fish the outer islands. Any other questions you can call the landing at (310) 832-8304.
