Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report

9-14-2008
Bruce A. Smith

The wind was up and the fish scarce for most of the day. We couldn't buy a kelp to save us, but a three way blind strike on dorado resulted in an hour long bite that put us on the board. As the troll fish came in, the mahi rushed the boat and every bait was picked up in a hurry. On deck one didn't put down their instrument, be it gaff or staple gun as there was always another fish at color! The Shogun left biting fish in order to make our next destination, Guadalupe Island. The tuna action has been heating up at the Lupe and we'll be in position tomorrow morning.
