Convict Lake had a very exciting Opener this year! Many full stringers came in this past weekend! Winds were mostly calm with a little chop in the afternoon. The largest fish was a 6. 4 lb. rainbow caught on a nightcrawler. OurROUND UP AT THE LAKE DERBY is off to a great start as well. We are starting to see signs of spring around the resort and temps are starting to rise. We hope to see you all this season at the lake!

Baits and Tactics
Salmon Peach Powerbait
Garlic Powerbait
Sierra Slammers

Salmon Eggs – on Convict Creek

Weather
The lake is currently ice free and spring is definitely on its way! We had some great weather for opening weekend and more on the way.  Temperatures will remain in the high fifty’s to low sixties with nighttime temperatures in the thirty’s. The wind does tend to pick up in the evening so don’t forget to bring a jacket if your heading up!
