Shasta Lake trout fishing report!
4-16-2019
Jeff Goodwin
Yesterday was once again, cold and wet on Shasta Lake. Hopefully we'll see the warming trend forecasted ahead and we'll get some stable weather patterns and some warmer water temps on the lake. We're seeing some nice fish coming to the net just about every trip, but we are still looking forward to the larger numbers and maybe some double digit browns! The Pit Arm has been pretty much un fishable due to dirty water and wood debris, but everywhere else is looking pretty good. Starting to see a few more bites below 10' now and that trend should continue as the water warms up. No signs of Shad in the lower lake, but the browns are finding a few. The rainbows are on a plankton diet currently. Its heating up, so get ready for some great fishing reports to come!
