When we left the dock for this trip, prospects for both fishing and weather were not totally favorable. But after yesterday, it seemed that we could do no wrong. We started out the morning tugging on school-sized yellowfin and bluefin until most everybody was satiated. We then moved up the beach and tried a few yellowtail holes and found backwards conditions and then called it a trip.
Bob Hara was the leader of this trip; his marketing skills are second to none and that brought together a great group of guys which was the "true" success of the trip.

Leaving the dock with marginal weather/ fishing reports kept us modest but optimistic in hopes for the best. As daylight arose, we were pleasantly surprised with beautiful weather and fast action fishing. An eager biting school of yellowfin & bluefin set the tone as well as helped us get out the first-stop-jitters. Piecing stops together throughout the day (with most fish being in the 12-25lb class), we did manage to rally up a stop of those 30-50lb bluefin as well....... Read More
