We traveled down to the yellowtail grounds with aspirations of keeping the ball rolling.
After two outstanding days, we were knocked back to reality as it took us all day to scratch better then 100 yellows.
Tomorrow we are working up the line to scrape up a few more.

8-31-2013We spent the night drifting on the grounds and it was so calm the boat barely moved. When we got up in the morning it was socked in fog which made it hard to see fish on the surface but when the fog lifted we made up for it in a big way. Every time we go offshore fishing, we are petrified because of the importance of timing whether or not we are there when they are biting or not. When we left the dock yesterday, reports have been very slow for several days which now almost seems beneficial. Without high expectations we were ready to accept things as they come.
