Every time we go offshore fishing, we are petrified because of the importance of timing whether or not we are there when they are biting or not. When we left the dock yesterday, reports have been very slow for several days which now almost seems beneficial. Without high expectations we were ready to accept things as they come. As it turns out, we ended up with one of the best weather and fish catching days of the season. We had a phenomenal day on the smaller school sized bluefin with a respectable amount of 25-40lb fish mixed in. Some of the best news however, was the sudden appearance of the missing yellowfin tuna. Before today there hasn't been a good catch north of 260 miles - but that all changed today when in addition to the great bluefin fishing we also ended up with over 100 yellowfin tuna.
There are two grades: one of which are school sized 8-14lb fish, and the other grade is a beautiful 25-40lb fish.
Steve, John, and David Samarin made it a family affair as they proudly pose with one of Father Samarin's many fish that he boated today.

Extremely Lucky To Be Here On A Float Day,

The Guys
