We arrived on the yellowtail grounds hoping to be able to break up the trip and just stop and fish. There has been pretty good sign of fish around but after daylight we saw very little. There are many reasons or excuses why the sign of fish vanished but what it comes down to - is that making a catch seemed like it would be hard to do.
We decided to travel and along the way we managed three handfuls of decent grade yellowfin. For the yellowtail enthusiasts... have no fear as conditions will change for the better and someday we will again see good sign. In the interim we are taking advantage of the extended trip and heading for points south. Wish Us Luck,

Last trip we had impeccable timing where the fish were biting and we had decent weather and we had a few first timers ask if fishing was like this all the time? Today we can prove that things do not always go as planned. We had absolute flat calm weather and we were licking our chops knowing that we would see finning fish a long ways off. And we did see several spots of 50-70lb fish mid morning, but unfortunately...... Read More
