The weather forecast was for the wind to back down and it did in a big way; we had a bumpy ride out, but by midmorning it was grease calm.
The water conditions were totally different from a few days ago, but there was enough scattered sign around for us to see some right away.
The catch here was that even though we had beautiful weather & sign of jumping fish - they were reluctant to cooperate and we only boated six fish.

6-7-2013Being isolated on the beach by weather was not that bad a deal - in fact just about everyone aboard had a great time. After two days of yellowtail fishing, most people were satiated with their catch already so after 50 or 60 of them in the morning, we went poking around. Today we managed to find some yellowtail in an area that was out of the wind so we felt very blessed. We watched the commercial tuna fleet come into the beach and hide which told the whole story of what's going on at the offshore grounds. We managed to stay busy and put a few fish aboard as we look forward to staying put out of the weather another day. Karen always seems to have her picture up and that's...... Read More
