Being isolated on the beach by weather was not that bad a deal - in fact just about everyone aboard had a great time. After two days of yellowtail fishing, most people were satiated with their catch already so after 50 or 60 of them in the morning, we went poking around. We ended up fooling around in the shallows and stayed busy fishing local style as the pressures of "needing" to catch fish were gone.
Marv Williams got the biggest of our 14 halibut today, John Grindley scored the day's only seabass and Don Lindsey caught one of the the days largest yellows on bass tackle and a swim bait.
We are going offshore tomorrow in hopes of getting back on the tuna fish.

We were surprised when we found sign of nice grade yellowtail in the morning and with reports of yellowtail at the other 8 day destinations, we decided to stay put and ended up with a nice catch. The thought of staying out of the weather for the next few days along...... Read More
