Hi Gang,

Yesterday we had beautifully calm weather and today is even nicer. Falt calm. Breakfast yesterday was eggs benedict and it was delicious. I cannot say enough about what a great job our galley staff of chef Brian Torres and Chasen Keller have done this trip. From the front of the house in the salon, to the incredible meals coming out three times a day, and everything in between, these guys have been on point. We are grateful to have them as part of our team.

One of the coolest aspects of these long trips is the comradery and friendships that are made. The group we have on this trip has been a joy to fish with is every sense. Watching these guys work together at the rail has been a real treat. They share the rail, follow lines, wind in if needed, (everyone wound in at the later stages of Rick Cha's fish) and they share what techniques and gear that is working at the time. Ron Huth seems to always get bit, John Bradford fished better this trip than I have ever seen him fish, Larry Higashi is like the zen master that is always calm and confident, Phil Williams seems to always be fishing the right stuff and that paid off with him landing a cow on straight tied 100# and a sardine rig, Ken Houser is steady and doing the right thing at the right time, Gary Keller put in his time at the rail and was hooked up a lot, and Tony Garza is just a natural and seems to almost will a bite. I feel very fortunate to be able to fish with everyone of these guys. Thank you for making this trip such a great experience for everyone on board.
