Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report

The anchor went down at Guadalupe early this morning and bent rods were quick to follow. Big fish near a rocky bottom, many were sawed off on the sharp underwater pinnacles. If you don't get the upper hand early the big yellowtail quickly slam shut the door. The fish that were landed were all trophies. When the bite slowed Norman brought us to a few other spots where we continued to pick up a handful at each local. A look around the backside was uneventful, and this evening we set up to catch some mackerel to see if a bait change will entice a bite. Tomorrow we are going to target the other half of the island, perhaps there will be a few tuna in the mix.
