Dayfleet Fishing Close
8-17-2008
Bill Roecker
The past few days have been the best of the year for much of the dayfleet. Even some of the multi-day boats like Royal Star and the Spirit of Adventure have been fishing right out in front of San Diego this week. Yesterday's scores are reflective of what's been going on, with a nearly even split between the three tuna species.
Here's the fish count from yesterday, courtesy of Javier at Pt. Loma Sportfishing: 364 anglers on 18 boats caught 315 dorado, 132 albacore, 109 yellowfin tuna, 68 yellowtail and 121 bluefin tuna.
