Pedro's Pangas Fish Report 07/31 - 08/07

8-7-2008

Things are really picking up in San Quintin! Weather has been perfect. No winds to speak of! The water temperatures are between 60 - 63 degrees. The fishing, 12-15 miles off the point, is finding large paddies with limits of Dorado and Yelow Tail for every fisherman. Sacarro, to the south, has been producing 2-3 White Sea Bass per boat, with limits of Sand and Calico Bass, Barracuda, and Bonita.

Some notables are Al and Joe Kern from Apple Valley and Joe and Vianey Guzman from Saunas, CA. Their first day they fished off shore catching limits of Dorado and Yellow Tail and their second day they fished at the 240 spot catching limits of Rock Cod and Ling Cod.

Thanks,
Pedro

LET'S GO FISHING!

Also, rock cod, halibut and ling cod in good quantities. Captain Miguel aboard the Pelicano got four nice white seabass at the mouth of the bay on Tuesday. Boats will be checking Soccorro to the south for the white seabass....... Read More

Cedar plugs seem to be the hot ticket when trolling. If you find a paddie, there is good chance for dorado and yellowtail under them. Six dorado were brought into the dock on our boats, the largest weighing in at 35...... Read More
