Patriot going both offshore and coastal for yellowtail and maybe doado this week. Other trips online.

I just wanted to pass along that the Patriot will be fishing both the offshore areas and down the coast. There have been lots of reports of dorado and yellowtail on the kelp paddies some as close as just outside our harbor. There are also good reports of a large volume of yellowtail that are moving up the coast with the warmer water. Capt John will be focusing on the larger game fish for his trips this week. Monday's open party ?? day trip has only about 13 reservations (as of 3pm Sunday August 3) departs at 7am. Currently running standard ?? trips, but we may start running extended ?? day limited load trips shortly. We will definitely keep you posted. They are still catching lots of sand bass along with barracuda, but with the arrival of these larger game fish it is too much to resist. Make sure to bring a heavier setup along with the standard 15-20 pound gear.

The Aggressor has an open party overnight leaving Monday (August 4) at 9pm fishing all day Tuesday (August 5). Limited to 18 anglers at $170. Currently 5 spots open for this trip. Either going offshore after dorado, yellowtail, albacore tuna, and bluefin tuna or San Clemente Island for large yellowtail. The Amigo just called in on an overnight offshore fishing (Sunday August 3) and had 13 dorado, 6 yellowtail, and 5 albacore tuna with lots of fish lost.

The Aggressor has open party overnight trips fishing Tuesday, Weds, and Thursday this week. The Ultra has a open party 1 ?? day trip leaving Tuesday night at 9 pm fishing Weds (August 6). Limited to 9 anglers at $300. This trip is going offshore and should be a good one. Still 5 spots open for this trip. ?? day trips continue to get hundreds of sand bass per trip. With the Nautilus on a twilight trip last night (Saturday August 2) scoring 157 sand bass, 4 barracuda, and 1 halibut for only 29 anglers. Fishing is getting pretty good.
