Hi Gang,
Yesterday was a travel day for us and the day was spent enjoying the nice weather and rigging tackle. We had an in depth tackle seminar right after breakfast, and the rest of the day was spent preparring for the fishing to come. We are rigged with 25#, 30#, and 40# live bait outfits for tuna, fluorocarbon leaders, 1/0 J hooks on the 25# and 30#, and 2/0 J hooks on the 40#. Straight flyline, no sinker. This was the key to sucess on the tuna when we were down here last week. 50# for the yo yo jigs. 50# for the wahoo casting jigs, and lots of live bait wire leaders were made in hopes of getting some good shots at wahoo. It was a very nice day. Chef Daniel made an incredible seared double cut pork chop with an apple salsa for dinner. After dinner our host, Jerry Tesselaar, had another giveaway session with a bunch of swag from Seeker, Okuma, Avet, Five Star Fish Processing, and there were even a few $300 gift certificates for the Intrepid. Nice! Thank you Gerry. We fish today. Wish us luck, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
