Hi Everyone,

We departed on our 10th annual SBCSD 8 day trip yesterday after a quick turn around. We put on a very nice load of sardine, thank you Everingham Bait Co. I cannot say enough about what a great job our bait company does for us in supplying consistantly good bait. In all aspects of the operation from the guys on the boats that work through the night catching the bait, the crew maintaining the recievers, the management of the bait at the receivers to insure that a large percentage of bait is cured out, to the ownership that uses spotter planes when needed to locate the bait when it's tough to catch. We could not do what we do without  these guys.                                                                                                                                       We cleared Point Loma just before noon and are headed south. Our charter host Gerry Tesselaar is very proud to say that this is the 10th annual SBCSD 8-day trip aboard the Intrepid and he went all out with raffle prizes and giveaways. After last nights prime rib dinner, which was amazing, Gerry raffled off 10 Avet and Okuma reels, 9 custom wrapped Seeker rods and Okuma rods. Very generous. We will be having more raffle prizes and giveaways throughout the trip. Thank you Gerry. Our chef this trip is a guest appearance from chef Daniel Barron. Daniel worked with us on a 10-day trip last year and has incredible culinary skills. Everything so far is on point. We are excited for the days ahead. Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
