The Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Fish Report- The Independent Fleet
7-24-2008
Larry Edwards
Good offshore fishing prevails, but inshore waters are very murky due
to the rains and rain run-off. The offshore waters are experiencing
an excellent sailfish bite and good on yellowfin tuna, along with
rainbow runners. The roosterfish have disappeared in the inshore
areas, but the amberjack were biting well to make up for some of the
lost rooster action. There has been substantial rain in the later
afternoons and nights, but the days have been very nice throughout
the area.
I/Z Climate: Mostly cloudy but nice days, rain in the late P.M. and nights, temps from 72 nights to 90 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Murky waters inshore and clear waters offshore, temps at 83 degrees and stable.
Best Fishing Area: The off shore waters producing well for sailfish, yellowffin tuna and rainbow runners.
Bait Supply: Not reported.
