Hi Gang,

Yesterday was one of those days you read about in the sportfishing magazines. We started catching yellowtail in the dark on the dropper loop rigs and catching fish that were up to 30 pounds. At around 0400 we started catching yellowfin tuna, also on the dropper loop, up to about 25 pounds. At 0415 I made the wake up call that "they're biting" everyone, time to get up. From this point on it was about as good as it gets on both yellowfin tuna to 35 pounds and yellowtail up to about 30 pounds. Guys were getting bit on all methods and techniques. The guys fishing for yellows in the dark on the dropper loop were catching tuna, the guys fishing the yo yo jigs were catching tuna in the dark, and as the morning progressed, waves of yellows would come through and we would pick up straight yellowtail. It was wide open. We left them biting. We spent the rest of the day looking for wahoo which we did not find. An amazing day of fishing. We are excited about what tomorrow has in store for us.
