Hi Gang,
We spent yestereday traveling sount in absolutely gorgeous weather. We looked for fish on our way down with jigs in the water, looked at a few kelps, but never located anything worthy of stopping for. After breakfast we had an in depth tackle seminar covering all of the takle and techniques we will be using in the days ahead. The rest of the day was spent rigging tackle and enjoying the day. Larry Brown had his world famous raffels yesterday and he would like to give a huge thank you to all of his sponsors:

Very generous and everyone on board was a winner. Our chef Kyle and assistant Chasen preparred and incredible dinner of roasted chicken with a sun dried tomato verblanc that was out of control good. Right after dinner we had a little memorial for our good friend Rick Stettler whom we lost last year. Rick was a regular on this trip for a number of years and it was very fitting to say our good bye at sea. Rick's son put together a great slide show of Rick over the years and after we had a few nice words in rememberance of our good friend. Afterwards we stopped the boat to say good bye with some yellow roses. Nona Grancell lead us in singing 'Amazing Grace' before we tossed our roses. Now, with everyones back to the west, Nona literallay finished the last word of the last verse of the song at the exact moment the sun set completely below the horizon. Unscripted, unplanned. Amazing, gave me chills. Good bye Rick, This trip won't be the same without you but you will never be forgotten. We fish tomorrow. Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
