Join a naturalist on a free and exciting tour to see the Osprey on their new nesting platform on Saturday, March 17. The tour begins promptly at 9 a.m. at the Back Bay Science Center, located at 600 Shellmaker Rd. in Newport Beach.
Mom Osprey is currently being seen on the nest. View the two magnificent birds with a spotting scope.???? Binoculars are available.??
See a marine biologist educating high school students and watch as marine life is brought in from the bay for observational study and then released. Opportunities are plentiful to photograph a favorite fish or other marine life.
The island is a part of a 752-acre wildlife Reserve which is managed by the California Department of Fish and Game. For more information, call The Back Bay Science Center at 949-640-9956.

Ranger 85 two day trips will be targeting White Seabass, halibut and rockfish. The outlook is favorable for squid this season, so I'm sure these trips like last seasons will produce some off the hook catches!
