Lake Jennings Staff
Even though the weather is warming up trout are still biting. Anglers caught some in Hermit Cove this past weekend. Come rent a boat or launch your own and try your luck! You may just find some waiting for ya!
There were plenty of catfish being caught on cut mackerel and dip bait. Some of the top spots seem to be the T-dock and Hermit Cove. We stocked 1,000 lbs. of catfish in the lake this week. This delivery boasted some large cats too! Average size was over 2 lbs. with plenty in the 3-4+ lb. range!
If you're interested in night fishing but haven't tried it yet... Now is the time! Anglers are getting full stringers of nice size cats.
There were some good size bass located at the T-dock, Half Moon Cove and BIG bass seen in Cloister Cove and Shadow Cove.
Lots of redear sunfish and bluegill over in Half Moon Cove and Shadow Cove. Mealworms or waxworms are your best bet.
For those of you looking for karp, typically here at LJ we only see them over in Half Moon Cove or by the dam and this week some very large karp were spotted in Cloister Cove. Come try and catch 'em!
