Lake Jennings Staff
Catfish stocking begins the week of May 21st! We will be stocking the lake with 2,000 lbs. of Channel Catfish.
Come on out for the Catfish Opener Memorial Day weekend May 25th through May 28th. The lake will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00 a.m. to midnight and Monday, Memorial Day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Full size lanterns required for night fishing after 8:00 p.m.
Tow your boat over to the lake for a day on the water or rent one here! Rental boats are available on a first come first serve basis.
Anglers are still catching trout! The water isn't too hot yet and if you're here targeting trout with powerbait or atomic teasers, you'll likely take a few home. Hermit Cove and Sentry Point, cast out to about 8-10 ft depth and you'll be good to go!
The bluegill and redear bite is picking up quick. They aren't swimming in the shallows yet so cast out a little bit or rent a kayak, and throw a mealworm or wax worm on your hook. Click HERE to learn how to best rig your pole to catch some sunfish!
There are about 2 weeks left to get your photos taken and submitted for the Spring Photo Contest! Submissions are due May 31st by midnight.
Summer is almost here and camping reservations are going fast. We are sold out the next two weekends already. Hurry to make your reservations today, or call 619-390-1623. Maybe take a day or two off work and visit us mid-week?
