Good afternoon folks. Alijos did not work out. Conditions have gotten very good and attractive for fish. That's the good news. The bad news is the tuna were small and a lot of Skip Jack. We trolled tirelessly trying for the first wahoo of the year but failed. 70 degree water is definitely a step in the right direction so any day now we hope. With two more 8 day trips ahead of us the Rocks will hopefully change. Today was fun for us with good skiff action on Calicos and action on yellows on the big boat. Some nice bass up to 9 pounds and yellows up to 30 pounds. Yellowtail releases were common today but nothing like down on the ridge. Tomorrow we plan on heading up and looking offshore in hopes of tuna. We will report again then

We are now leaving Alijos after a dismal half day that included skip Jack and little tuna. We Trolled it up in hopes of a stray wahoo but even with the 70 degree water there were none. Yellowtail is not on the list...... Read More

Surface iron and flyline sardine were the ticket . Flat calm hot weather to give it the classic Baja experience. The Grade here this morning seems the same if not better, more flurries on......
