Good morning folks. We had excellent yellowtail fishing down here yesterday. All the guys were choosey on what they kept and most all of the fish were in the 20 to 32 pound range. 15 pounders were the bottom end and there was a lot of releasing. Surface iron and flyline sardine were the ticket . Flat calm hot weather to give it the classic Baja experience.

The Grade here this morning seems the same if not better, more flurries on the big fish is what we are experiencing.

This afternoon we plan on heading out to the west and look for kelp paddies and whatever else we may find. With this nice warm water in here offshore might work out.

We will report again tomorrow.

Good morning folks. Yesterday we had a slow day with the conditions at the Island kind of off. Cooler water and a south swell churning things up was my theory on the lack of production. With visions of a southern tack after the morning look we decided to keep heading down. Good morning folks. We spent the day offshore and had similar results as to what has been going on. We saw decent sign of Bluefin and fair sign of small albacore , and I mean small 8 to 10 pounders . At that size they don't get kept. We had 11 bluefin biggest fish around 35 pounds with a few small ones . Not good by any means but hopefully in the near future they will go on the bite.
