The Cabo San Lucas Fish Report- The Gaviota Sportfishing and Fish Cabo Fleet
6-26-2008
Larry Edwards
High boat for the week was the "Fish Cabo", fishing with the David
Parsio charter group from Fountain Valley, CA, releasing 6 stripers
for a single fishing day. Overall catching had been fairly slow up
to this point but it would appear that the change of the moon phase
may have been of some help? Overall counts for the Fish Cabo Fleet &
the Gaviota Fleet for a combined total of 29 fishing days, reflected
12 stripers released, 3 dorado, 2 roosterfish and 33 yellowfin tuna.
Cabo Climate: Mostly sunny, clear and very warm, with temps from 72 nights to 99 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Cabo Falso to Chileno Bay at 75-76 degrees and rising to 79 at Gorda Banks and outside to the Cabrillo Seamount.
Best Fishing Area: South of the Finistera Hotel, 5-7 miles.
Best Lure/Bait: Live bait is by far the best.
Live Bait Supply: Fair, with some scarcity during the early week.
