The Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Sportfishing Report- The Independent Sportfishing Fleet

6-19-2008
Larry Edwards

The full moon has made the I/Z bite very difficult and according to our on-site reporter, Temo Verboonen, the fish are not cooperating, at all. Also, very few anglers and almost no boats fishing makes for a not so bright fishing report. The "Bloody Hook", reported in for 3 offshore fishing days that resulted in 5 sailfish. Temo reports the inshore fishing has been good for roosterfsih, but few bonito and jack cravelle in the mix.

I/Z Weather: Mostly cloudy with light surface winds, temps from 75 nights to 91 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Blue water moving closer to shore and warming, with temps at 85 inshore to 86 offshore, mostly calm and blue.

Bait Supply: A good supply, even with the full moon.
