Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report
6-1-2008
Bruce A. Smith
The wind backed off some today, making for a fair day on the water. Once again bass fishing here at San Clemente Island was scratch fishing at best. The yellowtail made an appearance this morning and then again this afternoon. A few fish were hooked on surface iron, but sea lions and kelp stringers had the upper hand. Bottom fish filled out the count. The Shogun will be fishing distant offshore waters in the near future. Right now we are cruising down swell toward San Diego, and will be departing again next Saturday.
