Convict Lake Staff

Hello All,

What a great month here at Convict Lake, fishing has been very consistent up here. The inlets are still the popular place to be. There is still lots of water flowing into the backside of the lake. If you plan on hiking back there be prepared. We have had some nice warm days up here with scattered thunderstorms in the early mornings and late afternoons. Breakfast and lunch served Monday-Saturday on the front lawn and Sunday Brunch Served over at the Restaurant. click here to see the full menu. Hope you all have a great week! Welcome August!

Tactics and Bait

Fishing was great this week. South Shore Inlet seems to be the spot. Pink and White Mice Tails remain popular. Bait fishing has been pretty good as well, Powerbait in garlic scent and inflated night crawlers should do the trick.

Here is a list of other baits/lures that also work well: Panther Martins, Tasmanian Devils, bright colors or brown Marvel Fly Lures, Kastmasters, NeedleFish, Roostertails, and garlic scent on Powerbait.

Stocking

Department of Fish and Wildlife stocked Convict Creek on Friday the 28th.

Weather

Beginning of the week temps will be in the low 80's and high 70's.  We are expecting some scattered showers and T-storms toward the end of the week. Nighttime temps remain in the high 40's.
