A safe, smooth departure has been followed by two days of glorious southerly travel in the most beautiful conditions imaginable. Everything that we can place in order most certainly is. Now for the fishing. Opting to begin this annual “Barking Spiders” eight day run on the bottom end of our range we will ply the waters in search of any and all gamesters before heading back north in search of the elusive offshore prize. No one has found it yet this season beyond about 60 or 70 miles from San Diego. But that does not mean that it is not coming; it simply has yet to arrive. For certain conditions on the way south were vastly improved and inviting. Abundant forage, blue, rapidly warming surface temperatures, birds, dolphins – all indications of a door wide open for gamefish of any kind. Fishing reports will commence tomorrow after we arrive on scene. Our apologies for the intermittent reports during the past couple of weeks. Consistent internet service out here has been more than a small challenge. Not on our end our service provider has been working on a solution. We will keep the daily updates coming to the best of our ability. All’s well on this end rest assured. Now for some fish…
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.

Also we ended up making a few rockfish drifts so everyone had some tasty bottom dwellers to take home. We will be tying up at Fisherman’s Landing in the am to come back and do it all over again! ...... Read More
Very tough conditions in the offshore grounds today. We were hoping for a repeat of day 1 on the big bluefin but we fell a little short. We managed to scrape up 3 bluefin. A couple 18 pounders and 1 nice trophy. Congrats to Kirsten Hoadley on her 124 unfortunatley we lost the picture. ...... Read More
