What we saw today left no doubt in anyone's mind that the time to answer the call from the west had arrived. Not that we didn't see and catch fish; the size average and the general feel of the place just left plenty to be desired. It was okay, but not good enough. Not in the business of settling for less off we sailed at mid day hoping for better sign of catchable trophy yellowfin tomorrow and beyond. In good weather we made time southwest enjoying an easy afternoon and sweet downstream ride. Tomorrow is the true test; a make or break affair on trophies to be sure. But, with ample fishing time remaining, we do have a reasonable “plan B” in the event this place produces less that our goals. Photo today features long range veteran Jim Aljian doing it “RP style” on the upwind corner.
