Not from a lack of fish the day's results were lackluster nevertheless. It's good to see them of course, far better than searching in a desert, but the 'look but no touch' scenario elicits a whole different dimension of frustration. We managed to boat a few, enough to inginte the idea that success here is possible, but time will tell. Still hasseled by the local thugs we've got a long way to go here before calling out a catch.
Epic weather, plenty of time, excellent bait, etc. – all part of a foundation that we hope will lead to success. It's a familiar story told during the past couple of months. We're not all in here this time though, a jump to the southwest is certainly within our means if we've a mind to. Currnetly though we are exactly where we want to be; toss in a few handfuls of fish and life is good.
Uber veteran Bob Pound gets the picture train started today with this dandy 170 that fell for a well presented sardine amidst plenty of larger offerings. When it comes to tuna fishing bigger is not always better.

Suffice it to say that every one of the misfortunates that chose to ride the boat north from Cabo were treated to a bona fide ass kicking they will not soon forget. Arriving six hours late following at least 36 hours of E-ticket ratcheting rises and gut dropping, kidney hammering freefalls riders arrived shell shocked and scarred I'm certain feeling that that adventure was highly over rated; and in retrospect appreciating the convenience of the fly home option.
