Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone; Well it was a very tough day of fishing and weather. The weather made it tuff on fishing today, with 25 to 30 knots of breeze. With a big sea, it was tough keeping hooks in the fish, so we had many loses to pulled hooks. We had two nice fish on at the bow, and both hooks pulled on those two.
We had a mixed bag today, with Dorado, Wahoo and Yellowfin making the fill. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 170 to 190, with one going over 200 pounds. Lucky angler today was Don Burnside, with a 224 pound Yellowfin tuna.
Parts of the day, we only had 2 anglers fishing, and they were on the kite. It was tough on our group to stay at the rail, with big seas and 25 to 30 knots on top of that. But we all survived to fish another day. We are hoping that the weather will come down tomorrow, so until then wish us luck.
