Reds on the bite

2-8-2008
Royal Polaris Crew

Hi folks;
Weather today was absolutely gorgeous with 5 to 7 knots of breeze and plenty of Sunshine

We started the morning with a great breakfast followed by a seminar on preparing the proper tackle. The crew worked with our passengers throughout the day.

At 13:00 hours we stopped, West of Benito's island and fished for Red-Rock Cod for about an hour. We caught many reds which will make for a great dinner and lunch along with some fish tacos for hors D'oeuvres. The winner of the Royal Polaris jacket for the largest Rock-Cod was one of our lady anglers. Gwen Kosi who caught a 12 pound Cow-cod.

We are planning to try for squid tonight and continue on our way to Clarion island. We will report again tomorrow. The R/p crew.
