Fish Report for 10-16-2016
Cisco's weekEND report
10-16-2016
Channel Islands Sportfishing
The end of another wonderful weekend of fishing here at Cisco’s and come to an end. Everyone departing our boats reported having a great time catching a lot of fish. Weather was also nice for the most part of the day as the sun came out late in the day. Most of the morning was overcast and even drizzly. Much like yesterday, the bulk of our catch this afternoon was bottom fish like Rockfish and Ocean Whitefish. There was again some Yellowtail caught, but for the most part they are still not biting very well. We will stay vigilant and if they decide to bite we will be there to catch them. Otherwise, we will be bottom fishing for a variety of tasty Rockfish and other species like Sheephead, Whitefish and Lingcod. If your signed up or even thinking of coming out with us in the next few weeks be sure to call and ask what to bring. October is perennially a month of change, so tackle requirements will vary day to day. We will do our best to make sure you are prepared and have everything you need to catch fish!
Today’s Fish Count: 7 boats and 182 anglers.
1,230 Rockfish, 128 Lingcod, 503 Ocean Whitefish, 12 Sheephead, 2 Sole, 2 Bontio, 25 Calico Bass, 11 Opaleye Perch, 1 Barracuda and 10 Yellowtail.
