This time of year is great for camping. Its calm and relaxing without all the crowds. Only a few more weeks until the Tackle Box Café opens again, Yum! We are set to open Friday the 21st or Saturday the 22nd. Top water fishing for Bass is on right now, and will more than likely continue through October. Bass can be seen breaking the surface chasing shad balls around the lake. Zara Spook Puppies are a favorite, while worms are still working well at deeper depths. Crappie have been caught anywhere up to 40ft deep. Still many Bluegill all around the lake. Smaller Catfish in the 4-9lb range are being caught all hours of the day.
