A relaxing day of carefree travel enjoying the flat calm after effect of Hurricane Newton in the northern climes. Reminiscing and marveling were the themes of the day as angler's and crewmen shared memories recent and distant focusing on the many good times that we have together experienced on Royal Star. Of course the freshest memories from the prior three days in paradise were on everyone's minds. The opportunity to target yellowfin tuna in the dream size class, in the dream destination, has a magnetic attraction for every big game saltwater angler. In the short term our focus now shifts to the local scene as we follow our schedule into a series of three day voyages meant to introduce aspiring long range anglers to our unique style of fishing. Poised for success with the “A” team of veteran crewman local prospects are excellent with a variety of potential destinations and target species available in continuing superb weather. Look for from the scene reports to continue as the next story unfolds. Final voyage photos feature two first time Royal Star anglers that enjoyed glowing success. Dave Moore and Christyne Buteyn both landed their personal best yellowfin tuna with 112 and 125 pound beauties respectively. Christyne had the added satisfaction of earning third place in the jackpot handily dispatching her prize tuna with some serious “girl power”.
