This fish report is from Pete Hillis reporting out of Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja Mexico for the week ending 2/21/08.
Things were a little better this weekend. The weather was still a little cold but seas were moderate, rollers but no breakers. Terry Fox brought a group down from Moreno Valley. Included in that group were Jeff Mix, Adrain Cordova, Rick Villapondo. They tried Socorro the first day on a tip from the local commercial fishermen of large white seabass but they didn't have any luck. They should have taken a net! The 2nd day they fished the 240 and 15 fathom for limits of large rock cod and lings. They tried a little yellowtail in the morning but still couldn't get anything going.

We haven't had a huge amount of customers, but the ones that have gone out are finding good limits of large rock cod and ling cod. Before that the weather had been great for fishing.?? Unfortunately we still have not had too many anglers making the trip south.?? If the news from Tijuana is still affecting the tourism, we have been letting our customers know that we use the Tecate crossing all the time with no problems.??...... Read More
