Following a quick turn and departure on our annual “Labor Day” special, a five day voyage this season but scheduled for seven again in 2017, we passed a quick evening and morning in travel and prep mode arriving at the glory destination mid-afternoon. True to it's billing the zone did not disappoint. Though not quite in the proportion that we have become accustomed to during the past month we pieced together a nice afternoon/evening of action on 50 – 90 pound yellowfin tuna with a couple of standouts well over 100 and at least another handful of missed opportunities. Seeing plenty around optimism for our first full day tomorrow is high, in every respect. Mother Nature is poised for a bit of a tantrum on the outside for the next day or two so no better place to be than behind an enormous island. Lavishing in the protected lee we'll certainly benefit from the excellent working conditions – catching or otherwise. Photo today features long time Royal Star angler and friend Russ Ung who picked off this dandy, 90 pound class yellowfin near day's end. A couple of handsome devils, Captain Paul Caramao and Captain Blake Wasano, take honors on the gaff.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
