Hello everyone; Today was a good day, or should I say, “It must be nice”. Weather continues to be a mystery, since the wind doesn’t know what to day, blow in the morning, and just shut down in the afternoon. We had 10 to 12 knots early, then early afternoon, we had 15 to 18 knots, then late afternoon, not enough to keep the kite up. But all in all it was a nice day.
Enough about the weather, because we can’t change that, but the fishing continues to be excellent, with Yellowfin and Yellowtail making up the bulk of the catch. The Yellowfin were in the 40 to 70 pound range, but then you had the 80 to 120 pound category that also made a showing today.
As for the Yellowtail, these are just beautiful fish, most in the 25 to 30 pound range, then you have the 30 to 40 pound fish also showing up today. With this size fish biting the way it is, you can tell that everyone is getting tired, when the crew ask you to lift so they can gaff the fish, and you can only lift the rod about 2 inches, but that is a good thing.
So with tiger balm in hand, and until tomorrow, good luck and good fishing. Team R/p
