Offshore Mission

The day's saving grace was realized early. A strong morning of yellowtail action set things right establishing a clear path offshore is search of something, anything new. While there is offshore opportunity to the north the fleet is in need of something more. As is so often the case nothing less than effort on new ground is the call, success or otherwise. So we set out optimistic intent upon finding the mother lode. But it didn't happen. A long, fruitless afternoon search through historically productive zones in outstanding conditions produced absolutely zero – no kelps, no strikes, no life. Dammit! Far from the parting note we sought we took the beating in stride confident that we engaged in the right mission. With an insurance policy in the RSW tank it was time to go looking. No regrets. On schedule for an early morning arrival tomorrow Captain Randy Toussaint will be flying solo on the next open four day outing. Good weather in the forecast promises a fine foundation as Captain Toussaint and the boys set to the task. In closing our gratitude is extended to this fantastic group of anglers all of whom were our sincere pleasure to share time at sea with. Look for Captain Toussaint's reports to continue tomorrow.
