7-5-2016
California Delta Chambers & Visitors Bureau

Some of the best halibut, striped bass and leopard shark fishing is taking place in the San Francisco Bay during this time period off the rock piles and surrounding flats on the drift with live anchovies. The striped bass are averaging 5 to 10 pounds, up to an occasional fish in the teens followed by halibut to over 30 pounds, though the average is 8 to 12 pounds. Head to the south bay where a three fish has been the rule. Stiff winds have plagued the area the past nine days creating bumpy conditions.
