"We started our first day of the trip today," wrote skipper Shawn Steward aboard the Excel November 28, "and we had typical Hurricane Bank weather. Windy and choppy weather did not stop us from putting together a nice day on quality fish.
"Not much happened until 1000 when we started to see steady sign of fish and as the day went on we saw a little better sign all the time. Of the 31 yellowfin that we tagged, only a couple are 80-pound fish and the rest are 110 to 185 pounds with four fish that taped from 207 to 246 pounds.
"We had a little flash of wahoo on the anchor, which gave us another fish to target. Tomorrow we hope to do more of the same and we hope the weather will cooperate."
