Trout action is excellent on both lakes with anglers using power bait ( especially rainbow, orange, and lime twist) night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Most trout are near or over two pounds. Lots of limits are being taken with anglers reporting good action throughout the day. Hot spots include the grassy point, the eastern logged shore and western shore from the pump house to the bridge of lake 3 as well as the western, eastern and northern shores and inlets of lake 2.

Catches of the week: Donny Most Jr. of Victorville caught his 7 lbs 8 ozs rainbow near the pump house of lake 3 and used red, white and blue power bait to limit out. Apple Valley angler, Dale McDonald scored a 5 lbs 13 ozs trout on the western shore of lake 2 using rainbow power bait. Sam Moreno Jr. of Ontario reeled in a 5 lbs 1 ozs trout on the northern shore of lake 2 near the inlet using an orange roostertail. Fred Winterswyk of Rancho Cucamonga used a gold jake to catch his 4 lbs 12 ozs rainbow on the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Mark Callan of Fontana caught a 3 lbs 12 ozs trout on a yellow crappie jig while fishing the western shore of lake 3. Chris Petersen of Corona reeled in a 3 lbs 14 ozs rainbow on an orange power worm near the drain on the western shore of lake 3.
