This week's storm didn't hurt the bite with anglers using?? power bait ( especially lime twist, spring green and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits.?? Nice size on most trout with many over 3 pounds. Hot spots included the eastern and western shore of lake 3 as well as the northern shore, especially near the bridge and the western shore of lake 2.

Catches of the week: Santa Ana angler, Frankie Cortez, pulled a 6 lbs 12 ozs rainbow from lake 2 near the bridge using a Renegade worm. Kirk Brown of Riverside scored?? 4 lbs 6 ozs and 3 lbs 4 ozs trout using a gold Jake while fishing the northern shore of lake 2 near the bridge. Scott Bray of Chino Hills caught a 4 lbs 2 ozs rainbow on a crappie jig near the inlet of lake 2. Barstow angler, Jacob Henry used spring green power bait to score a 3 lbs 14 ozs trout on the western shore of lake 3. Mark McDowell of Victorville caught a 4 lbs 5 ozs rainbow on a night crawler while fishing the western shore of lake 3. Arvel Castleberry of Palmdale reeled in his 4 lbs 7 ozs trout on an inflated night crawler with garlic off the western shore of lake 2. His friend, John Bretz caught a 4 lbs 6 ozs trout on the same bait. Jeff Raymond of Azusa brought in a nice 3 lbs 13 ozs rainbow on a orange power worm while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3.
