TROUT BITE

Trout have moved into deeper waters. Anglers fishing by boat are reeling in trout near the buoy line by the tower and by Hermit Cove buoy line. The best bait was night crawlers on either a water bobber or skip bobber rig.

CATFISH

3,000 lbs. of Catfish have been stocked already this season! The bite was steady throughout Friday night. Some anglers left with a few cats a piece. Catfish were biting on mackerel and chicken liver. You can also try anchovies or hot dogs.

If you are looking to catch the largest trophy fish you can at Lake Jennings, catfish is your best bet.

PANFISH

Bluegill can be the best fish to catch during the heat of the afternoon. Take a break from fishing bass or catfish, and try tossing out a night crawler along the Cloister Cove or Half Moon Cove shorelines.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

Lamont Fields was busy this weekend reeling in both bass and trout! The bass hit on a green plastic worm in Half Moon Cove. The trout was caught near Hermit Cove buoy line with a skip bobber rig and night crawler.

Neal Doran reeled in his first bass at Lake Jennings!

Fish on!
