We departed on our first short trip of the summer season today. After loading our sardines we were on the hunt for bluefin tuna within a couple short hours. It didn't take us very long to get on the meat - there were schools of tuna jumping as far as the eyes could see. Although they were reluctant to bite we managed to pick off a couple fish in the 60lb class. A very good showing of fish today and fantastic conditions indicate tremendous potential for catching a trophy sized tuna on a short trip. P Carramao

It's been an uneventful albeit plenty decent ride up the line. A long trek to be sure, and extremely light on activity and/or excitement, this ride has been a cookie cutter version of the ride north from Los Cabos.
